QuitNic

QuitNic is an app for people who want to quit smoking, vaping or snus. In the morning the user pledges to stay nicotine-free, and in the evening they check in and say how the day went.

What we built

The app runs on iOS and Android. A widget on the home or lock screen shows how many days the user has been nicotine-free and how much money they have saved. If a craving hits during the day, they can open a breathing exercise or a small game to take their mind off it. Questions about quitting go to an AI coach in the app.

We also built a website with guides to quitting and a calculator that shows how much you save. It is made to be found on Google and links on to the app.

How we run it

The first version came out in June 2025, and we have updated the app regularly since. Paywalls are controlled from Superwall, so we can change and test them without releasing a new version. We follow usage in PostHog and get an alert from Sentry if the app crashes.

About half of sales come from the US, and most of the rest from the Nordics. The App Store pages are available in 19 languages.
