Scroll the Classics support
Scroll the Classics is a free iPhone app for reading classic books one screen at a time. If you have a question or something doesn't work, email hei@brinkstudio.no.
About the app
The app has public-domain classics such as Pride and Prejudice, Dracula, Frankenstein and Meditations. You read them one screen at a time, and the Discover feed shows short excerpts that you can open in the book to keep reading.
It runs on iPhone with iOS 18 or later, including iPhone Duo. The app is published by BRINK, a digital product studio in Oslo.
Contact
Email hei@brinkstudio.no. If you are reporting a problem, it helps to tell us which iPhone and iOS version you have, and which book you were reading.
The app has no account and sends only anonymous usage statistics. Read the privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an internet connection?
No. All the books are included in the app, so you can read anywhere, also in flight mode.
Where is my reading progress stored?
Only on your iPhone, together with your bookmarks and settings. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. The app does send anonymous usage statistics, such as how many passages were read, but never the text you read or your bookmarks.
How do I change the text size or theme?
Tap the … button while you read. The same options are in the app's settings, where you can also choose the font.
Where do the books come from?
The texts come from public-domain editions published by Standard Ebooks and Project Gutenberg, and the cover images are public-domain paintings from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Cleveland Museum of Art. Each source is credited in the app's settings under Sources & Rights. The app is not affiliated with or endorsed by these organisations.
Is the app free?
Yes. There are no ads, in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Do I need an account?
No. You can start reading as soon as you open the app.
